Isolation Addiction
<p>Life is so messed up.</p><p>Days pass.</p><p>The past slowly fades,</p><p>yet lingers</p><p>in almost every thought.</p><p>And isolation sinks in —</p><p>quietly,</p><p>comfortably.</p><p>The mind drifts…</p><p>wanders…</p><p>asks the question it’s almost afraid to finish:</p><p>If death is the destination —</p><p>at least the physical one —</p><p>then why live?</p><p>Why wake up to the weight of it all?</p><p>Why endure the stress,</p><p>the tangled emotions</p><p>that rise anytime you think —</p><p>especially when isolation</p><p>has already made a home</p><p>in both your body</p><p>and your mind?</p><p>Isolation —</p><p>innate loneliness wrapped in tranquility,</p><p>calm on the surface</p><p>but overwhelmed by the unknown underneath.</p><p>Why overthink a future</p><p>you are not 100% guaranteed to see?</p><p>Even if you reach it,</p><p>death still waits at the long-term horizon.</p><p>No one is isolated from birth.</p><p>Everything is a process.</p><p>Most of us started young.</p><p>But it becomes something else</p><p>when you begin to find solace in it.</p><p>When nothing seems to matter.</p><p>Just you —</p><p>in your little world</p><p>filled with music,</p><p>manufactured emotions,</p><p>well-rehearsed smiles.</p><p>Isolation becomes part of you.</p><p>Like a phone you can’t live without.</p><p>Always in your hand.</p><p>Always within reach.</p><p>It’s an addiction.</p><p>You know it’s killing you,</p><p>yet you still drown in it.</p><p>Embrace it.</p><p>Hold onto it</p><p>like the love you wish you felt</p><p>but never did —</p><p>and aren’t sure you ever will.</p><p>You don’t know</p><p>if you’ll ever feel whole again.</p><p>And even when it feels like you’re free,</p><p>like you’ve finally outgrown it,</p><p>there’s always a relapse.</p><p>Triggered by the slightest shift —</p><p>a change in the air,</p><p>a different tone in someone’s voice,</p><p>a memory you didn’t ask for,</p><p>or someone who once claimed to love you.</p><p>Even the smallest things</p><p>can reopen the door.</p><p>And isolation —</p><p>patient, loyal,</p><p>addictive —</p><p>will always be waiting.</p><p>End...............</p><p>Credits:Confidential🙂</p>
