I think those who fear failure are yet to fully understand the burden success brings.

I want to first establish that despite the divergence in our journeys, there is a common denominator or constant, which is adversity. Yes, everyone has a way of amplifying the issues they face, and it may seem unfair to shrink the size of people's problems.

Besides, only those who wear the shoe can tell where it pinches.

My advice is to expect adversity. I believe that life cannot be insulated from risk. I think this mindset would help better prepare us for the battles ahead.

For me, fear is not entirely the enemy. I perceive fear as direction. If you are scared of something, there should be a rationale for it. Fear presents you with a choice to either stop something or continue it.

And yeah, fear is contextually learned, and it grows as you feed it.

One thing that's very tricky is when you know the path but are scared of following it. This could be because you think you are not prepared (it's okay to accept that you aren't ready yet) or because of external doubt. Yeah, doubt is contagious and dangerous, particularly when it comes from the people we love or respect.

This reminds me of a character in the Bible who got to chill in the belly of a fish because he was running away from instruction. You see, we can look back from our current state of comfort and judge him for fleeing instructions when that's actually what most of us do. The story of the prodigal son who chose the streets is similar, but sapa reset my guy factory settings!

Let's assume the fish represents the loop in our consciousness that reminds us that we sometimes toil because we chose to defy reality or rationality. It's very easy to SWERVE and get hooked on disbelief or doubt when you go against the norm. It's basically denying the obvious. We could end up going in circles or running in a self-made maze if we don't face reality. The fish is supposed to take you back to the shore, but that depends on your decision. It may look like the fish decides, but it's actually a choice we must make. If you are currently in this loop of indecision, you are running from the path of growth, which could be clothed with thorns.

I suggest that you face reality. Sit down and search the closet of your heart. Let the mirror within reveal the truth to you. Be clear on what is stopping you or making you hold back.

Abeg, this is not a yoga line ooo!

Lol.

Have a sincere conversation with yourself and highlight the possible outcomes. What happens if you choose to run?

What happens if you choose to grow?

Are you choosing facts or feelings?

In the end, others would read from your odyssey.

I hope you find yourself and find meaning.
