Standing half naked, in front of my mirror the other day, I noticed for the first time that my left boob was bigger than the right one. I thought to myself, it’s no wonder Tammy (my ex) said to me one time “I love this particular one. It’s fuller and there’s something special about it”. Sigh. Men. 🙄.

Boobs; each pair unique and beautiful in its own way. Some are small and perky, while others are big and bouncy. Regardless of their size, shape, or color, one thing is for sure— everyone seems to have an opinion about them. Especially men— men like Tammy.
But why are we so obsessed with them? Is it their ability to feed babies? Their undeniable sex appeal? Or is it simply because they're a part of our bodies that we can't help but be fascinated by?
Whatever the reason, it's clear that boobs are a hot topic. However, we're taught from a young age that they're private, something to be hidden away from the world and I can’t but wonder why we should be ashamed of a part of our bodies that is so natural and normal? Hollup, I’m not saying we should be running around naked, don’t misinterpret my statement lol.

I just feel like it's time for us to start having more open and honest conversations about boobs. We should be able to talk about the struggles of wearing bras, finding the perfect bras, breastfeeding, or even the societal pressure to have bigger, fuller breasts. By bringing these topics out into the open, we can begin to break down the stigma and shame that surrounds them.
Of course, not everyone wants to talk about their boobs. Some people may be uncomfortable discussing such a personal topic, and that's okay. But for those who are open to it, let's start the conversation. Who knows, we might just learn something new about ourselves and each other along the way.

Okay so, back to my unequal pair of boobs. I found out through research that they’re called “BREAST ASYMMETRY”. I don’t know about you but I think that name sounds too serious for something yet so simple. It is a situation whereby one breast has a different size, position or form from the other.
Asymmetrical breasts are actually quite common. In fact, it's estimated that more than half of women have unequal breast sizes.
The difference between the breasts can range from barely noticeable to more significant, with one breast being noticeably larger or smaller than the other.

NOW, let's talk about why this happens.
It can be due to a variety of factors, including hormonal changes, weight fluctuations, and genetics. Sometimes it's just luck— one breast may have developed differently than the other during puberty; maybe they're just two independent thinkers who want to do their own thing.
You should know that almost everyone has some degree of asymmetry in their body, different foot sizes, eyes, ears etc including the breasts. So if your girls aren't identical twins, don't worry, you're not alone!
Breast asymmetry is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, many people find it endearing and unique. Embrace your asymmetrical boobs with pride. After all, they're a part of what makes you beautifully and wonderfully you!

It's important to note that sometimes breast asymmetry can be a sign of an underlying medical condition, so if you notice sudden or significant changes in your breast size or shape, it's important to talk to your doctor.
But honestly, for most people, having asymmetric breasts is just a normal part of being human. And while it can sometimes cause self-consciousness or discomfort, it's important to remember that it doesn't define your worth or beauty as a woman. So whether you choose to embrace your asymmetrical breasts or seek out solutions like padded bras or breast augmentation, just know that there's no right to approach it (except it’s harmful, then it’s a NO-NO). What matters most is that you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin! 🥰
