It all started that night. I know you will not remember, you were too busy being enticed by the cheap liquor that roamed the air and the falsetto voice of the Nigerian man you and your friends danced to.

He walked into my room that night. I never knew anyone would be so deft in sneaking into other people’s rooms. I didn’t know he was there until I felt a touch inbetween my thighs and for a minute, I felt it was snake trying to curl up my legs so, I jumped up at once only to see your husband so close to my face, trying to share the air that I breathe. He too had that smell of liquor but his, mixed with perfume, you could tell it was schlock. His eyes were red and he sweated in a way he couldn’t control. At once, I dragged the covers up to my neck and my other palm covered my nose. His stench reminded me of the beer parlour that was quite close to our house, he was disgusting.

My first instinct was to jump off the bed. There was no way I could fight a man his size so I tried to run but he held my hair so tight I couldn’t move, I just screamed and he dragged me to the ground before punching my belly. Never have I felt that kind of pain. I screamed again but he slapped me and I became quiet. No one could hear me... no one came. The grin on his face widened as he saw the fear in my eyes grow and slowly, bits of his sweat dropped on my skin.

I watched him pulling his zipper down and tears grew more in my eyes.

Then he looked at me distastefully and said “you’re lucky I’m in no mood to play tonight.”

He stood up from me and walked out, leaving me lying on the ground soaked in my own tears. I could not believe what had just happened. Never had I felt so weak. I blame myself for not stopping him, for not fighting harder but I blame you too mother.

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
