Love alone doesn't build a solid relationship
Generally, love as it implies is the benchmark and channel that we all know to help propel a relationship between two partners. But from my deep evaluation, that love doesn't and can not build a long-lasting relationship without the term ‘EFFORT’ Two partners could be wallowing in intense love but when that action word called effort is not included then the love is not complete. There are habits your partner exhibits that don't align with your sense of humour but the majority lack the effort to correct those habits, love covers them and unknowingly they get comfortable with what would later come to haunt them. There is a popular saying that Love is Blind but how blind would you be to a habit or attitude that would later in the future come to taunt your relationship? Making calculated efforts should not only be for your goals in life, but also the energy stretched to having a hitch-free relationship pattern. There was a real-life scenario of a friend who smokes cigarettes he started the relationship with just a minimal intake, but he could have stopped because it was a minimal intake had it been the girl made extra efforts to stop him completely. From the onset, he could have stopped and rolled with the flow. He became more comfortable and advanced to heavy smoking which lead to his addiction, she gradually got pissed and started speaking up when it was almost late, we all knew the love was there from the onset but a little effort from her could have strengthened the journey. To cut the long story short they are not together anymore but the love still exists between them from afar. The bottom line is this love is a catalyst to starting up a healthy relationship, but taking steps and effort to not overlook the flaws would go a long way in solidifying and stabilizing a promising relationship journey. There are lots of real-life examples where taking the right step and making efforts could have helped the relationship from the onset and would have helped preserve the relationship. Kindly share your idea on how making efforts could have saved a relationship in the comment section.
