Patriarchy: The Oldest Boys’ Club That Never Got the Memo"

To me, patriarchy feels like that dusty old uncle who never stops talking, even when no one’s listening. He strolls into every room like he owns it—uninvited, outdated, and oddly confident for someone who’s been wrong about almost everything.

It’s everywhere. Subtle, loud, disguised as tradition, or sometimes just straight-up nonsense.

People say, “That’s just how things are,” as if that’s a valid explanation.

But if how things are means I should shrink myself, be silent, or walk slower just to be “safe,” then maybe things shouldn’t be that way anymore.

Growing up, I noticed how patriarchy doesn't just shape the world—it presses on your chest. It tells women they’re too emotional and tells men they’re not allowed to be. It teaches boys that softness is weakness and girls that strength is rebellion.

It gives power to a few, expectations to many, and freedom to almost no one.

And let me tell you, it’s funny in a ridiculous kind of way.

Patriarchy acts big and tough, but challenge it even slightly, and it panics like Wi-Fi during a storm.

It pulls out religion, culture, even biology like Uno cards—“Draw four, go back to the kitchen!”

But here’s the thing: I’m not here for that.

I’m here for change.

Every time I speak up, choose my own path, or support someone who’s breaking a mold—we shake the system.

Bit by bit, we unlearn, undo, and unseat this ancient nonsense.

Because the truth is, patriarchy might be loud, but it’s not immortal.

And I may be quiet, but I am not powerless.

Thank you for your engagement.please do drop a tip thank you.
At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
