PERKS OF WRITING?
Seriously, the perks? Believe me when I say, I think we are taking it just a little too far with that word. Why, you may ask? Because how else would these stated reasons be perks to me or anyone who battles with the gift of ink? Okay, here's what I'm talking about 1. Openness: As a writer, you get to view the world very differently from others. You are critical of almost anything that exists and try to form your own opinions, while also appreciating the beauty that lies in that object. This always leads you to have strong feelings about anything and in expressing them, you cannot let anything go to waste. People now have this unparalleled access into your mind and its inner workings. Because of this, you can't even afford to lie to yourself and sometimes, when you attempt to lie to the audience, there is still a part of you that drops and if these are great readers, they tend to pick it up. Yeah, what a perk!! 2. Research: I already stated that you are very critical, and you cannot be a great writer without research. No matter how "original" your ideas may seem, there is always something you would find that would expound on that idea. Besides, you need supporting material for these seemingly big ideas. And an article that isn't well researched is always noticeable, well to those who can 🌝🌚. Yay Us!! 3. Plagiarism: What a perk right!!! You draw up this beautiful article and still have to check for its similarity to something online. Like someone somewhere thought about the same thing? Why, you kindred spirit? Why, just why? And I for one don't support jacking anyone's style or work, try to be yourself please, or at least write like you have something in that brain of yours🀣🀣 How person go suffer write something, you go come pass am off as your own. The delusionπŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€ 4. Vocabulary: This is the last but certainly not the least. Writers need to have that great command of diction, so someone reading doesn't get bamboozled or at least understands what you are trying to say. I remember one time my friend told me that I should stop writing like I'm going for GRE πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ Yeah, I have been in this sitch and it's not a nice place at all. When people have to ask you what every word that comes out of your mouth means, there is a problem that needs immediate fixing. Trust me, you don't wanna lose your audience to that. Now, I'm not saying these are bad things, but they help keep you in check and in control of how you present your work. They also help to knock back some sense into you, so you remember where you are. These are definitely not all but they pass the vibe check βœ… I love writing!!! Okay, tell me, what are the things you are conscious of when writing?
