Rape, The real culprits

I thought we were past that age.

The age where girls were the ones being condemned and isolated when they're the victims.

The age where it's the girls fault for the man not being able to control himself and therefore forcing his disgusting self on her.

I honestly cannot seem to comprehend how some people think.

Why does the society favour a lose man and discriminates against the victim.

I understand that it's always been this way,

when looking for someone to blame,it's always easier to blame the woman.

"She must have worn something that exposed her body"

This sentence gets me mad.

Men will look even is she's wearing a potato sack why does nobody seem to understand.

If the reason for a girl getting raped is because she wore clothes that exposed her body, how then do we explain an hijabi getting raped.

We all know hijabis don't even show their neck,as such, they should be exempt from rape but are they?

If the blame is going to be directed at the girl being mature and have everything a woman should have, how do we explain the young girls getting assaulted.

Some of them don't even know what it means to be assaulted and yet they've been assaulted more than twice.

Now some will say the real villain is the rapist but I beg to differ.

The reason rape and assault have become so rampant is not because some men are led by their carnal desires.

It is because the society stigmatizes the victim.

Being a victim of rape is worse than the act itself.

They are afraid to talk for fear of being looked down on.

At least fifty percent of the girls in this world have been assaulted at one point in their life and it has become a common thing.

It has happened, both parties forget it,or rather the assaulter forgets but does the assaulted forget?

Never.

Sure, some handle it better than the others but they never forget

Is this the world we want to leave for our kids?

Will it keep in being this way?

I for one would not like my child to be born into a world where regardless of her age or her dressing, she'll eventually become a victim of rape or assault and be forced to hide it for fear of being segregated by her fellow humans.
