Speak up

I'll be brutal here because I think this is a serious issue. I solicit that you read in between the lines so you can get my point.

You're in a class and you know the answer to a question, but you neither raise your hand to answer nor speak up. You could obviously be the smartest person in the class, but your voice is only heard when writing. I know some can argue that people's temperaments affect how they behave. I get their point, but I don't project it.

Unless you're living in a sane climate, then you can remain silent, but I'll urge you to speak up more. You can start by raising your hand and also sharing your views. You'll probably make mistakes, or people could laugh at you.

In the end, you'll be growing, and that's what is important.

I once attended an interview where only those who raised their hands and spoke were given points. I was quiet for the first two questions. When I realised someone had already scored 10 points, I jumped in. It was basically war! That's how life is most of the time. You have to first speak and then fight to be heard.

In fact, speaking is sometimes a fight!

It's not supposed to be easy, but then mastery is the result of hard/smart work over time. At a point in my life, I was barely speaking my views, but overtime, I grew out of it.

I'm big on building in silence, but let what you've built be audible!

Kindly share your opinion in the comment section.

Learn Unlearn Relearn
