Standing At The Doorsteps To The World
<p>Standing at the doorsteps to the world&nbsp;</p><p>A young man awaits unprepared for life's journey&nbsp;</p><p>Learned in dogmas and schemas</p><p>Unaware of the complexities that lay ahead&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>He knows not the confusion of thunderous storms</p><p>And the endlessness of seven seas&nbsp;</p><p>A fool's errands on dark and onerous tidal waves</p><p>Sailing the deep ocean with no lighthouse in sight&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>His journey is a minefield of dead dreams&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>He wanders aimlessly in cities built on blood money&nbsp;</p><p>And flirts with financial institutions, monuments of greed</p><p>He finds comfort in ripped muscles and fleshy curves</p><p>The temple of lustful spirits&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The crying voices of lost souls haunt him in his sleep</p><p><br></p><p>He searches for the road less traveled, on the highways of riches&nbsp;</p><p>In consumption and retail therapy, the illusions of success and happiness</p><p>He spends his nights in a stumbling daze in smoke-filled hallways&nbsp;</p><p>To get peace of mind only for a little while, till the next high</p><p><br></p><p>His life is all motion, no movement</p><p>He is left behind by tectonic shifts in global landscapes&nbsp;</p><p>Unaware and powerless to backroom deals cut by politicians&nbsp;</p><p>Under the cloak of darkness and sealed with oaths of blood&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Breathing to live, living to die,&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>His journey has become ours to bear&nbsp;</p><p>And his travails our crown of thorns</p><p>We look to his redemption for our own resurrection</p><p>His cross is our cross</p>
