Wednesday, 11:12 AM. My siblings, and I were observing a fast, and we were supposed to pray twice before breaking our fast at noon. I remember feeling a mix of hunger, fatigue, and spiritual anticipation.

As we prepared for our devotions, my sister announced the time, and I started singing, expecting my sisters to join in. But when they didn't, I felt a spark of annoyance ignite within me. I pretended not to notice them when they finally came, and when I did acknowledge them, my tone was a bit snarky. "Oh, you're here already? Let's continue singing." I said, trying to sound nonchalant.

But Kehinde wasn't having it. She called me out, saying we needed to focus on praying, not singing. Taiwo, was annoyed too, but she claimed it was just her stomach pains talking. Meanwhile, I was still simmering with anger. We tried to pray, but it was a mess. Our hearts weren't in it.

As we struggled to connect with God, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. My dad walked in and thought we were all just tired from fasting, but really, we were just struggling with our own anger and frustration. It wasn't until he took over the prayer that I realized how much my anger had weakened my spiritual state.

In that moment, I felt a deep sense of conviction. I realized that anger is a serious spiritual blockage. When we're angry, we can't pray effectively, we can't read our Bibles, and we can't even think straight. It's like our hearts are cloudy, and we can't connect with God.

As I reflected on that Wednesday morning, I knew I had to make a change. I couldn't let anger control me, not when it came to my relationship with God. So, I made a conscious decision to work on my anger issues. I started practicing self-control, taking deep breaths, and responding with love instead of anger, Anger has a way of restricting us from our Spiritual Energy... Please beware!!!.

It's not always easy, but it's worth it. When we choose to let go of anger, we open ourselves up to a deeper connection with God. We become more sensitive to His presence and it goes a long way in our relationship with people.

So, let's make a pact to tame our *Anger* , shall we? Let's choose to respond with love, even when it's hard. Let's create space for God to move in our lives, without the cloud of *ANGER* blocking our Heart on our journey of Faith.

May God help us, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this! How do you handle anger in your life? What strategies have you found helpful in overcoming anger and cultivating a deeper connection with God?
