THE EGG THEORY

I’ve been thinking about The Egg Theory — this idea that we’re all actually the same soul, just living every human life, one at a time. So, in this view, I’ve been you, you’ve been me, and we’ve both been everyone else: the kind stranger, the angry boss, the silent neighbor, the dictator, the healer. Every person I’ve loved, hated, helped, or ignored... was actually me in another form.

It’s wild to think about. It makes you pause and reconsider how you treat people. If I hurt someone, I’m hurting myself. If I show love, I’m loving myself. That kind of mindset could change everything — from how we argue online to how we treat the quiet person in the room.

Whether or not the theory is literally true, I think the message is powerful: empathy isn’t just about being nice — it’s about recognizing that we’re all deeply connected. Maybe the point of life isn’t to win — maybe it’s to understand. What if we all lived like that?
