UNITED IN GREED - Part 1
I have said it time and again. Africa has no leaders or at best a handful. What we have are mere politicians. When I say leaders, I mean the likes of Nelson Mandela, Thomas Sankara and a few others from the past era. How many from the present class of politicians can be likened to these African visionaries aforementioned?Just yesterday, unknown gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked a Christian worship centre, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state. Over 50 worshippers including children were slaughtered like livestock, their bodies riddled with bullets. A little girl who was brought from the U.S to come spend some time with her grandparents was also killed. What do the grandparents tell their son happened to his daughter? We used to think things like this happened only in the North, so most of us kept quiet and just said, "It's a northern problem. Na them them". If only we knew. It's here now and we were taken by surprise.
