If we were all the same, the world would be a very boring place. I think our differences make us more interesting and make life worth living. Imagine if everyone was from Akwa Ibom; I don't think man's best friend will still be dogs. One man's pet is fit de another man plate!!! If you don't get it, forget about it!!! When you find yourself in places with diverse people, it's best to use your head and speak responsibly. For clarity, freedom of speech is still speaking with restraint. Confused? We can't always articulate what we mean directly. If we always do, we may lose more than our tongue.

I'm sure if you gave every Nigerian the opportunity to say something about another tribe, we'd probably start a war on Twitter and have bodies on the streets before midnight. It's okay to reserve your reservations about specific attributes common in certain people. Unless we're guys and the coast is clear, I'd probably not mention something about your state or people that might offend you. Tease responsibly. It prevents us from going band to band. You'll need to learn how to read the room. What you say in your classroom may cause minor friction between classmates, but in public transport, person fit comot your teeth.

Say your mind, but mind what you say. Remember, it's easy to take things out of context. We shouldn't always look at people as groups. Like a wise Edo babe once said, stereotypes deprive you of experiencing people. In line with no gree for anybody, you're free to respond in kind to statements you don't like, ooo. Be the bigger person, but let them know you don't appreciate what was mentioned. Be the war and the indabosk!

Some people like white garri, and others like yellow garri. Don't shove your opinion down our throats! In the end, garri is a unifier and doesn't discriminate. Unity in diversity remains vague and a noble dream until we first understand and appreciate diversity.

PS: A garri inspired post.

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
