I want to emphatically state that content is not king, but it could get you to the throne. Put differently, your business or brand could have great quality, but you could struggle to be noticed. A while back, I was comfortable with the idea of not being outside or staying in the shadows. I call it the underdog mindset. It's knowing you're good at what you do without pushing your content or business outside. The good news is that I've changed my perspective. It's okay to shine brightly, like a diamond.
Have you ever wondered why some content creators get famous overnight whether or not their content is great or mind-blowing?
Well, let me spill the gist—they promote themselves through reputable blogs, news channels, as well as other third-party sites. It's the same way people run targeted ads on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram to get their digital products out there so potential consumers can buy them. So yeah, you spend money to make money.
Imagine the fan base you could generate if you promoted your skin care products on the Facebook page of a popular celebrity.
I'm sure you can recall a popular skit maker who just blew up overnight or a low-key business that became the talk of the town overnight. It's very possible they did it!
They paid for promotions. It's okay to promote, and you shouldn't be scared of doing the same. Just make sure you are strategic about it so it won't be a waste of time.
From the foregoing, you can deduce that having a large fan base is equally valuable.
In other words, there's money in the "crowd." So yeah, push equally to have many followers and keep your content great.
You may remain in the trenches on the mainland despite having island content. In other words, you fit the blow!

If you like my insights, you can encourage me by sending a TIP. Thank you!
At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
