ME? DUMB HEAD?
<p>“You do church too much, you dumb head!”</p><p>Omo, I Dey <del>suffer</del> enjoy.😂</p><p>I hear this a lot. I mean, a lot! Okay, honestly, not necessarily the “dumb head” part, but the “you do church too much” part. AH.</p><p>That one has become almost like a greeting.</p><p><br/></p><p>“You go church too much.”</p><p>“You carry God on your head.”</p><p>“You and church, ehn…”<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>At some point, some people even started wondering if I was actually going to church. Maybe I was seeing a man and “church” was my cover up😂</p><p><br/></p><p>And sometimes I just sit there wondering,</p><p>What else should be on my head if not this God?<br/></p><p>Who else should have my time, if not the One who gave me all of His?<br/></p><p>Where else should I be, if not in His presence?!!<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>I wish I could explain what it feels like to be there.</p><p>Not just in a building, not just among people singing. Not just attending another service because it is Sunday.</p><p><br/></p><p>I mean <strong>His presence. </strong>That place where something inside you exhales. That place where you don't have to pretend you've got everything together. That place where you can come naked at His feet and not be ashamed.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because He is not waiting to condemn you. He is Abba.🥺🫂</p><p><br/></p><p>And the beautiful part? Is knowing that there are millions of people somewhere who are also saying,</p><p>“Jesus, we want You.”<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>People who gather because they believe.</p><p>People who pray together.<br/></p><p>Worship together.<br/></p><p>Learn together.<br/></p><p>Fall together.<br/></p><p>Get back up together.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>There is a sweetness in knowing that you are not the only one who wants God. Maybe that’s one of the things I love most about the fellowship of believers. <strong>The reminder that faith was never meant to be lived alone.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>So yes. I go to church, ALOT. </p><p>I enjoy it.</p><p>I look forward to it. Everytime! </p><p>I cherish the fellowship.<br/></p><p>I cherish the presence of God.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>And if you think I do church too much, I don't know what to tell you.</p><p><br/></p><p>The presence of God is sweet.</p><p>The fellowship of the brethren is sweeter.<br/></p><p>🥺🤍<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>So no, I'm not throwing in the towel because somebody is tired of seeing me go to church. That’s a burden you'll have to carry yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p>As for me? I'll see you in church.😌</p>
