I woke up the next morning and honestly, I felt like a rebranded version of myself. No more chasing energy. No more unnecessary smiling. I just wanted to focus on work and mind my fine business.

I wore this black bodycon dress that hugged my shape like rent was due. Simple makeup, nude lips, and my natural perfume combo — vanilla and musk. Subtle, but it speaks.

I got to work early and plugged in my earpiece immediately. No unnecessary talking. Cynthia greeted me and I smiled small, just to be polite. She started her usual gist about Tunde and Adam, but I acted like I didn’t hear half of what she said.

Around 11 a.m., Adam came to my desk. “You’ve been quiet today,” he said.

I smiled. “Just focusing on my tasks.”

He offered to get me coffee but I declined. Water is fine, please.

Lunch break came and Cynthia was like, “Let’s go eat downstairs.”

I told her I brought food from home. She looked shocked. I could see her trying to read my face but I just smiled.

Not long after, Tunde walked past our section. He looked at me — I looked back briefly, then continued typing. God, the power that small act gave me. My heart was racing but I didn’t blink. I can’t fall for this man’s fine boy charm again.

Adam later texted, asking if I was okay. I said “Yeah, just tired.” He offered to bring lunch up, but I told him not to stress. I was fully in my silent treatment era.

After work, Cynthia came to my desk, all hyped. “We’re hanging out again, right?”

I laughed. “Not today jare. I have stuff to do.”

She tried to convince me but I packed my bag and left before anyone could change my mind.

Inside the ride home, I opened Instagram and saw Tunde’s story — him, Cynthia, and Adam at the same lounge. I rolled my eyes. She can have him. I’m done stressing over a man that doesn’t even save my number.

Still, my chest felt somehow. I won’t lie. I muted both of them’s status before I slept. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

That night, I lay on my bed thinking about how I turned into the calm, mysterious girl. The one that doesn’t chase. The one they’ll start to notice when she stops showing interest.

If he ever texts me again, I’ll reply two hours late. Or maybe not at all.

Because I’m no one’s option.

Clock that 🤏🏼

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
