FiINAL EPISODE

MY JOURNEY, MY STORY, MY PURPOSE

When I look back at my life, I see a journey filled with moments I never expected to experience.

I was born in Akure in 1982. I grew up in a large family, surrounded by siblings and the love of my mother. But life introduced me to loss at an early age. I lost my father when I was only three years old, and at thirteen, I lost my mother—the woman who meant the world to me.

After her death, my family was separated, and I was taken to Lagos.

I entered a new chapter of my life with no clear idea of what the future would hold. I had already experienced responsibilities that were too heavy for a child, but those experiences had taught me how to keep going.

There were many moments when I wished my life had taken a different path.

I wondered what my life would have been like if my father had lived longer. I wondered what my mother would have thought of the woman I eventually became. I wondered what opportunities I might have had if I had been able to continue my education.

But with time, I learned something important.

I cannot rewrite the beginning of my story, but I can choose how the story continues.

My past gave me scars, but it also gave me wisdom.

My struggles gave me strength.

My mother's life gave me an example of faith and sacrifice.

My losses taught me to appreciate the people who remain.

And every difficult season taught me that I could survive more than I ever imagined.

I no longer look at my childhood only with sadness.

I look at it with gratitude too.

Gratitude for the lessons.

Gratitude for the strength.

Gratitude for the people who helped me along the way.

And gratitude for the fact that, despite everything, I am still here.

There were times when I thought my story had already been written by the circumstances around me.

But I eventually discovered that I could still hold the pen.

I could choose what came next.

I could choose to grow.

I could choose to forgive.

I could choose to dream.

I could choose to love.

I could choose to believe that there was still something beautiful ahead of me.

That became my turning point.

I stopped allowing my past to define who I was.

Instead, I began allowing my experiences to shape who I wanted to become.

Today, I carry my mother's memory with me.

I carry the lessons of my childhood.

I carry the memories of my family.

I carry every difficult season I survived.

But I no longer carry them as burdens.

I carry them as part of my testimony.

If there is one thing my journey has taught me, it is this:

A difficult beginning does not mean you are destined for a difficult ending.

Life may take you places you never planned to go. It may close doors you desperately wanted to remain open. It may take people you thought would always be there.

But as long as you are still breathing, your story is still being written.

My story began with hardship, but hardship did not have the final word.

My story began with loss, but loss did not define me.

My story began with uncertainty, but uncertainty did not stop me.

I kept walking.

And every step brought me closer to understanding who I truly was.

I am not the little girl who lost everything.

I am the woman who discovered that even after losing so much, there was still something inside her that could not be taken away—hope.

Hope carried me when I was tired.

Faith guided me when I could not see the road ahead.

Memories reminded me where I came from.

And courage helped me keep moving.

Today, I look toward the future with a different heart.

I no longer need to know exactly what tomorrow will bring.

I only need to know that I will face it with courage.

There are still dreams I want to achieve.

There are still places I want to go.

There are still people I want to love.

There are still things I want to accomplish.

My journey did not end with the difficult years.

Those years were only preparing me for the chapters that came after them.

So, if you ask me what my life has been about, my answer is simple:

It has been about surviving, learning, growing, believing, and becoming.

I have learned that sometimes the strongest people are not the ones who had an easy life. They are the ones who had every reason to give up but chose to keep going.

And I am still going.

This book may end here, but my journey does not.

There are still pages of my life waiting to be written.

There are still dreams waiting to become reality.

There are still stories waiting to be told.

So I close this chapter not with sadness, but with gratitude.

Gratitude for where I came from.

Gratitude for how far I have come.

And hope for where I am going.

My past is my history.

My journey is my testimony.

My future is still in my hands.

And as I turn the page, I do so with one thing in my heart:

The best chapters of my
