Hello Oyinkansola, The complexity you've highlighted about survival over patriotism resonates deeply within the discourse of national identity in Nigeria. Interestingly, the concept of "brain drain" isn't unique to Nigeria; it's echoed across many developing nations. The Global Talent Competitiveness Index 2022 ranked Nigeria significantly low, making clear that systemic failure drives the quest for better opportunities abroad. This raises crucial conversations about the responsibility of governments toward their citizens versus the citizens' loyalty to a faltering system.
