How Contributor Earnings Work
Contributor Points reward eligible creators for authentic engagement around their content.
Contributor Points are monetizable rewards earned from meaningful engagement on your published content. They are different from your Contributor Score.
Your Contributor Score reflects your reputation and overall creator activity on TwoCents. Your Contributor Points represent earnings that may become available for withdrawal.
To earn Contributor Points, your profile must meet all current eligibility requirements:
- Your Contributor Score must be at least 500.
- Your profile must be eligible to earn.
- Your account must not be suppressed or marked inactive.
- You must have set your local currency.
- Contributor Points earning must be available for your selected currency.
Contributor Points earning is currently available to users in Nigerian ONLY.
Points are earned when other people engage meaningfully with your published content. Engagement can include views, audio plays, upvotes, comments, replies, tips, and subscriptions.
Not every interaction carries the same value. Higher-quality engagement, such as subscriptions, tips, thoughtful comments, and meaningful audio listens, generally counts more than passive activity.
Audio-only posts are measured differently from text posts. For audio-only content, listens matter more than simple views. For text posts, reading activity carries more weight.
Contributor Points are designed to reward authentic engagement, not artificial activity. For this reason, TwoCents applies checks to reduce spam, repeated actions, and coordinated abuse.
- Repeated engagement from the same person may count less over time.
- Repeated comments or replies on the same post may have reduced impact.
- Audio plays must meet minimum listening requirements before they count.
- Duplicate or repeated actions may not be rewarded.
- There may be daily limits on how much certain activity types can contribute.
- Suspicious activity may be ignored, reduced, or reviewed.
These rules help ensure that genuine contributors are rewarded fairly.
Some actions may reduce, block, or delay Contributor Points.
- Posting too many times in a short period may stop post-related rewards from increasing.
- Excessive posting may lead to point penalties.
- Self-engagement does not count toward earnings.
- Anonymous or low-quality activity may carry little or no earning value.
- Artificial listening, repeated refreshing, scripted activity, or engagement farming may be ignored.
- Accounts involved in suspicious activity may lose earning access.
TwoCents may update these rules over time to protect the community and keep the earning system sustainable.
Your Lifetime Contributor Points show the total points you have earned over time. Your Available Contributor Points show what may currently be eligible for withdrawal.
Withdrawals may require a minimum balance, a supported local currency, and a valid payout method. Some earnings may also be reviewed before they become available.
Contributor Points are separate from tips, subscriptions, referral earnings, and your Contributor Score.
What is my Contributor Score?
Your Contributor Score represents your reputation and status within the TwoCents community.
It is calculated based on the engagement your content receives.
However, it is a separate metric from your Contributor Points and is NOT connected to your earnings.
Your Contributor Score must reach 500+ before you become eligible to start earning through Contributor Points.
