<p>This really made me think about how easily admiration can turn into self-rejection. ❤️ There’s nothing wrong with appreciating other cultures, accents or ways of doing things, but it becomes a problem when we automatically assume anything foreign is better and anything African is backward. I especially liked the point about mocking Nigerian accents it says a lot about what we’ve been taught to associate with “sophistication.” 👏🏽</p>
