<p>I don't think I'm in support of the whole 'gentle parenting' method. I think a lot of people overdo it and it gets to a point where your child thinks they can get away with anything. You don't have to shout or hit your children definitely, but there should be some form of discipline enforced somehow</p>

That's the whole point, sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind when I see parents unable to control their children in public or see kids act so mannerless. I once read somewhere that some people forget that they are to be a parent before a friend to their children. And ironically what people are doing is permissive.
