<p>The thing that stands out to me is how quickly Amara went from being a girl with plans for her future to being treated like her only responsibility now is to become a mother. Even Daniel's absence seems to have become her burden alone. He was part of the decision that brought them here, but she's the one whose education, freedom and entire routine have been interrupted. I really hope her story doesn't end with her simply learning to live with that.</p>
