<p>There's a line here that really deserves a second look: sometimes we don't miss the person as much as we miss who we got to be around them. But I also feel there's a difference between honouring how deeply something affected you and allowing it to define how you respond to everything afterwards. Being soft is beautiful, but we shouldn't have to keep hurting just to prove that we still have a good heart.</p>
