People Don't Hate Corruption; They Just Hate That It Isn't Their Turn To Eat

Quareeb Jagun Content Writer @ University of Ilorin • Ilorin • 1 hour, 14 minutes ago

Let’s be honest, many of us don’t really hate corruption. We hate it when we’re not the ones benefiting from it. 😂

Once the benefit reaches us, our brother, our friend or someone we know, suddenly it becomes “Abeg, na him turn.”

Who no like better things?

But that’s exactly where the problem is.

If corruption is wrong when another person does it, why should it suddenly become okay because it benefits me?

For me, that’s the real test. Same standard, whether the cake reaches me or not.
