An Evening Away✨
<p>I act like I’m okay, but deep down, I just want to disappear for a while.</p><p><br/></p><p>I want to share a blunt with a man in a dimly lit room, slow Omah Lay playing through the little inbuilt speaker, the kind of song that makes everything feel slower. No phones. No notifications. No responsibilities. Just us, completely lost in the moment.</p><p><br/></p><p>I want to be wrapped up in my lingerie, curled up against him, both of us high asf and laughing at absolutely nothing. I want to feel close to somebody without having to explain why I’ve been so tired lately. Without having to pretend I’m okay. Without having to be the strong one for once.</p><p><br/></p><p>I want us both to be fucked up enough to forget what we were supposed to be worrying about.</p><p><br/></p><p>Our life problems are probably just chilling outside the room, waiting for us to come back to reality. But for those few hours, they can wait. We’d exchange liquor, smoke, talk shit, laugh too loudly, kiss, get lost in each other, and pretend the rest of the world doesn’t exist.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe I’d tell him things I normally keep buried. Maybe I’d admit that sometimes I don’t know what the hell I’m doing. That sometimes I just want somebody to hold me without asking me what’s wrong. That sometimes I want to be wanted so badly that I forget I’m supposed to be protecting my heart.</p><p><br/></p><p>I don’t even need some perfect romantic ending.</p><p><br/></p><p>I just want the kind of closeness where I can finally stop thinking for a while. Where I can breathe. Where I don’t have to explain myself. Where I can just lie there beside someone, music playing softly, and feel like maybe life isn’t completely unbearable.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe the room gets messy. Maybe the night gets loud. Maybe the neighbors start wondering what the fuck is happening next door.</p><p><br/></p><p>I honestly wouldn’t care.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because for once, I don’t want to think about everything that hurts.</p><p><br/></p><p>I just want to feel something that doesn’t.</p>
