<p>I'm drifting...</p><p><br/></p><p>So far away,</p><p>I'm beginning to question gravity's laws.</p><p><br/></p><p>I took a leap,</p><p>but I'm not coming back down to you.</p><p><br/></p><p>Each time I try to get back,</p><p>I only drift further away.</p><p><br/></p><p>I might belong in the stratosphere now,</p><p>or somewhere much farther.</p><p><br/></p><p>But yet...</p><p>I still feel you,</p><p>like you're living inside me.</p><p><br/></p><p>Why does the universe keep doing this to me?</p><p>Everything I want gets taken away.</p><p><br/></p><p>Well... this time,</p><p>I got taken away instead.</p><p><br/></p><p>Does the universe want me for itself?</p><p>To blend me into the darkness of space</p><p>no direction,</p><p>no hope,</p><p>just endless existence.</p><p><br/></p><p>A vessel of blood and water</p><p>floating through regions unknown.</p><p><br/></p><p>But yet...</p><p>I still feel you.</p><p><br/></p><p>I still remember your face</p><p>like a painting pointed at me.</p><p><br/></p><p>Your smile shining brighter</p><p>than our system's star.</p><p>Your touch softer</p><p>than the asteroids that bully me in this belt.</p><p><br/></p><p>I can still feel how you felt</p><p>when I started drifting out of sight,</p><p>until all you could see</p><p>were the clouds</p><p>and then nothing.</p><p><br/></p><p>I know you're still wondering.</p><p>Still hoping</p><p>that by some kind of miracle,</p><p>I'm out here thinking of you too.</p><p><br/></p><p>Feeling your presence.</p><p><br/></p><p>But alas...</p><p>it won't be for much longer.</p><p><br/></p><p>The life in me is gone.</p><p>My heartbeat stopped.</p><p>My eyes closed.</p><p>My lungs collapsed.</p><p><br/></p><p>And now,</p><p>I'm spending the last seven minutes</p><p>of the last living organ in my body</p><p>with you.</p><p><br/></p><p>And no matter how far I am from you, </p><p>be it planets,</p><p>planes,</p><p>or dimensions. </p><p><br/></p><p>our souls are forever intertwined.</p><p><br/></p><p>And that...</p><p><br/></p><p>the universe can't take.</p>
