<p><strong>CHAPTER 10: THE REFLECTION OF HOPE.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>I pondered and reflected on the journey that brought me here</p><p><br/></p><p>It felt unreal.</p><p><br/></p><p>A young boy who stood at the gate of Àdùní’s house with hot tears gathered in his eyes.</p><p><br/></p><p>Life has remoulded me.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not because it was easier, but every challenge had taught me a lesson, making me a strong person.</p><p><br/></p><p>When I left Ogbomoso, I had everything already mapped out. </p><p><br/></p><p>Unknowingly to me that life had its own plan for me.</p><p><br/></p><p>When I left Ogbomoso, I also thought I was merely traveling to the North to further my education.</p><p><br/></p><p>I never imagined myself traveling to discover myself.</p><p><br/></p><p>Kashere became more than an ordinary university town.</p><p><br/></p><p>It became a place where I learned a lot of things.</p><p><br/></p><p>Where I learned resilience.</p><p><br/></p><p>Where I found genuine people.</p><p><br/></p><p>Where I experience love.</p><p><br/></p><p>The place where I discovered and developed my writing skill (still developing)</p><p><br/></p><p>The place where strangers turned to blood.</p><p><br/></p><p>I discovered everyone who crossed paths with me had a purpose in my life.</p><p><br/></p><p>Àdùní taught me the definition of sacrifices.</p><p><br/></p><p>John taught me kindness.</p><p><br/></p><p>Tepasay and Joy taught me friendliness </p><p><br/></p><p>Gift's family taught me that love is not limited by blood.</p><p><br/></p><p>School Bloodies taught me loyalty.</p><p><br/></p><p>My lecturers taught me knowledge.</p><p><br/></p><p>And Gloria showed me that the most beautiful things happen when we never expected them.</p><p><br/></p><p>Through my struggles, I learnt my lessons</p><p><br/></p><p>The disappointments, loneliness, financial difficulties, questions that went unanswered.</p><p><br/></p><p>Each one shaped my person today.</p><p><br/></p><p>Today, as I stand and call everything a wrap, my heart is filled with sincere appreciation and gratitude for Àdùní’s love, sacrifice and prayers that carried me.</p><p><br/></p><p>My appreciation also goes to my Dad, Olusola, who later came around and showered me with every support in his arsenal, showing that when you scold a child with a left hand, you embrace the same child with the other hand (right hand) </p><p><br/></p><p>To Elijah and Sarah(My siblings) Mum Nifemi( My big bro wife) and My Gombe Mum (Gift Mum) — Those are the people I almost wrecked with my perpetual billing 🙂</p><p><br/></p><p>Also to the people who believed in me and supported me one way or the other. </p><p><br/></p><p>To those who I mentioned and the ones I couldn't mention.</p><p><br/></p><p>If there is one lesson this journey has taught me, it is that hope is not the eradication of struggle or tria.l</p><p><br/></p><p>It is simply choosing to keep moving even when the road is not smooth.</p><p><br/></p><p>I started my journey at the gate of a small house in Ogbomoso.</p><p><br/></p><p>And I continued through rough roads, struggles, unforgettable friendships, and tons of lessons.</p><p><br/></p><p>Today, I can look back without regret.</p><p><br/></p><p>I pen eveey chapter of delay,struggle, survival, reason, triumph and lessons</p><p><br/></p><p>This is not just my story.</p><p><br/></p><p>It is the story of every dreamer who refuses to give up.</p><p><br/></p><p>Every student who has questioned tomorrow.</p><p><br/></p><p>Every young person who has dared to hope despite life's uncertainties.</p><p><br/></p><p>If my journey proves anything, then it shows that no matter how cloudy the atmosphere may seem, clarity will always come.</p><p><br/></p><p>And when it does, every step of the journey will have been worth it.</p><p><br/></p><p>My mind wandered back to the beginning of everything.</p><p><br/></p><p>The knock that landed on my door.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Samueli, wake up. It's today!”</p><p><br/></p><p>At that moment I thought she was waking me up for merely a Journey to the North.</p><p><br/></p><p>But I realized she was waking me up for a journey to hope and purpose.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because North gifted me more than a university.</p><p><br/></p><p>It gave me genuine people.</p><p><br/></p><p>It gave me a family.</p><p><br/></p><p>It gave me love.</p><p><br/></p><p>It also gave me painful lessons.</p><p><br/></p><p>It gave me the ability to discover the gift I never knew I possessed.</p><p><br/></p><p>Overall, it gave me hope.</p><p><br/></p><p>Today, I understand that every delay had a purpose.</p><p><br/></p><p>Every rejection wasn't the end.</p><p><br/></p><p>And this is also not the end of this story.</p><p><br/></p><p>It is only the end of a chapter, beginning of another.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because every journey worth remembering begins with hope...</p><p><br/></p><p>...and continues with courage.</p><p><br/></p><p>This was my four years in the Savannah.</p><p><br/></p><p>THE END</p><p><br/></p><p>@ÀDÙNÍ</p><p><br/></p><p>THANKS FOR READING.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
