FRESHMAN 1 - by Adanne 💕 Chisom 🌺

Chapter One Hi guys, my name is Adanne. I’m actually a 100-level student. Yes, a fresher. Funny, right? Yeah, I know. Enough of the introduction. “Hannah ran to my side.” “Why you dey run now?” I asked, watching her struggle to catch her breath. “You… you know Femi?” she managed to say between breaths. “I know him na. How won’t I know him?” My crush. My sweet boy. Although he didn’t even know I existed. Oya, let me give you guys the full gist about him. This guy is tall, fair, handsome, cute, and brilliant. Please, I love brilliant guys. And this particular guy? He makes shivers run down my spine. Guess what? He is our SUG President. Can you see that I’m just setting myself up? Because honestly, this boy is way out of my league. Oya, let me finish my description before you people start judging me. This boy is so demure, and his aura is lit. And I almost forgot to mention the most important part. He has blue eyes. Yes. Blue. Eyes. God really took His time with that boy. “femi is passing.” Hannah finally spoke. “The hell?!” “Why you no quick tell me?” I exclaimed. I immediately ran from the classroom to the hallway. And then… I saw my demi-god. Omo. God really finished work on this guy’s body. Femi was leaning against his car, casually talking to his vice president—that silly girl who was always by his side like chewing gum. Mtcheeew. I stood there, staring at him dreamily. My eyes were practically glued to him. “Adanne, you no go like comot?” Hannah screamed, laughing at me. But what did she expect? Would they understand? Never. Before I could even stop myself from staring, Femi started walking in my direction with his little troop of SUG executives. My heart began beating furiously. It felt like it was about to jump out of my chest. I tried to act normal. Keyword: tried. Then he walked past me. And I swear… Our eyes met. For a few seconds, everything else disappeared. We fucking made eye contact. Eye contact. With my crush. With Femi. My baby. Okay, maybe not my baby because the boy didn't even know me. But still. My baby. Hannah immediately pulled me back before I could embarrass myself further. She was literally laughing at me. Then Batife walked over. “Babe, if you see the way your friend was drooling over your SUG President…” She burst into laughter. “Finished girl.” I rolled my eyes. “These girls. I’m tired of them.” But deep down? I was smiling. Because for the first time… Femi had actually looked at me.
