Grief
<p>When people are in a season of grief or loss,</p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">It is best to sit with them in that grief.</span><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Sit with them as they pour out their eyes,</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">sit with them as they narrate in-between sobs how much the loss broke them,</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">sit with them as they lament over and over again.</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;"><br/></span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Never tell them not to cry or stay strong</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">because that statement alone breaks a lot in them same way the loss did.</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;"><br/></span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">They don't need "It's okay, don't cry, be strong".</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">They don't need all of those motivation that we feel would make them strong</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">because it's not even making them any better.</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">It's only adding more pain to the one on ground.</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;"><br/></span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">It is easier to tell people going through seasons of loss to be strong</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">but what we don't know is that grief runs so deep and we can never measure how deep it is</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">because how can you tell them to be strong when reality hits?</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">when they know they'll never see their loved ones again,</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">when there'll no longer be inside jokes, laughter, togetherness and all of the beautiful things they've always done together with them.</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;"><br/></span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">How can we still tell them to be strong and not to cry?</span><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">So, please, never tell a person going through the pain of loss to stay strong and not cry</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">because we might think we're sympathizing with them</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">but we don't know we're breaking them to pieces even more.</span><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">© Goke's pen</span><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">~TheHealingPoet🤍</span><br/></p>
