<p>When I was 14, I made a terrible mistake which almost cost me myself.</p><p><br/></p><p>Yes, myself, because I almost lost myself in the process...</p><p><br/></p><p>I deeply regretted what I did, so in order to maybe punish myself.</p><p><br/></p><p>You know what I did?</p><p><br/></p><p>I started punishing myself emotionally, withdrawing myself from the world.</p><p><br/></p><p>Went into my shell. I believed I didn't deserve to be happy.</p><p><br/></p><p>I literally became cruel to myself.</p><p><br/></p><p>I was so withdrawn that I developed anxiety anytime I wanted to face anybody, aside from my parents. I developed cold feet, my chest would start to hurt.</p><p><br/></p><p>Never knew I was killing myself slowly...</p><p><br/></p><p>That stuff contributed to what made me hate calls till this day.</p><p><br/></p><p>I hate the sound of my phone ringing, it makes me anxious, so my phone is always on DND.</p><p><br/></p><p>Back to what I was saying.</p><p><br/></p><p>I was really punishing myself.</p><p><br/></p><p>I told my friend one day that I needed a therapist. She just laughed and said, βFor what nah?β</p><p><br/></p><p>I just smiled.</p><p>She wouldn't understand.</p><p><br/></p><p>I cried myself to sleep almost every night...</p><p><br/></p><p>Then one day, I went to church. I had an encounter with God.</p><p><br/></p><p>It was something beautiful...</p><p><br/></p><p>The first thing I did was to forgive myself.</p><p><br/></p><p>I came to the conclusion that I couldn't continue living like that.</p><p><br/></p><p>I gathered myself, and before you know it, I healed...</p><p><br/></p><p>Don't really know why I wrote this, but anyways, thanks for reading.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
