Funny how this was one of the most random purchases I made while I was still in school. Was it worth it? YES!!!

Let's start with a pic so you know where we're going to.

It's so foineeeeee!!!! That was what everyone kept saying, but it cost me money sha, a LOT of money and peace of mind.

So I was doom-scrolling that day and kept seeing beautiful laptops covered with stickers. I was like "ouuuu, I would love one for my laptop too." Then I disregarded it.

But then similar posts came up again. And again. Making it three times in a row. At that point I took it as a sign, I had to get this DONE.

I had searched for laptop stickers on Jumia before, but I didn’t like the designs I was seeing. So I bashed it again.

That night I had gone to campus to read and saw someone with a full wrapped laptop. And that was it. I decided I won't buy online because I doubted it would be its size plus I don’t know how to do it. And my laptop was already getting scratches, so it’s a win win.

I eventually found E-computers from a search on google. And his shop was inside campus. I texted him that I wanted full wrap, and he charged me 18k. A whole freaking EIGHTEEN THOUSAND NAIRA in this economy.

Omooo, I paid ooo..

Immediately after I paid, he said,

Ehnnn, you sayyy?? I don't know this person o, I've sent money. Risky business. Nah so I turn double texter.

Abi this one wan run me street, tomorrow morning kehh..

I had accepted my fate of getting scammed. I was going to cry because who I wan tell, until he texted again,

I didn’t waste time at all, I rushed to campus. I asked around and got to the place, he wasn’t there yet so I just patiently sat outside happily that I wasn’t getting scammed.

Then he came, looking at me like "are you the one?" We exchanged pleasantries and he started teasing me, calling me prophet and anointed and all. And in my mind I was like "ahhh, me I DON'T want oooo" — I just kept smiling. But he was friendly and that was great customer service aside the fact he kept me waiting. But who’s judging.

And he came out with THIS:

When I saw it, I forgot the fear. It fit perfectly. No bubbles, no rough edges, (Matt finish) I remember him saying this word..hehehe.

It's been months now, I've carried it to class, inside bus, and it hasn't peeled. People still say "so foineeee, where did you get it?"

I didn’t just protect my laptop from scratches it made me look cool and not just a random laptop owner.

And that right there is my WHY.

I’ll drop his contact below sha, and you can also search E-computers on google.

+234 903 223 3254.

E-computers.

Bye bye..👋
