<p><strong>Homosapien</strong></p><p>The human race.</p><p><br/></p><p>Humans are a pretty interesting species.</p><p>Probably the most interesting one I've ever encountered.</p><p><br/></p><p>They have the ability to create almost anything they can imagine.</p><p><br/></p><p>They build cities from the ground.</p><p>They send machines into space.</p><p>They discover cures for diseases.</p><p>They create art, music, languages, entire civilizations.</p><p><br/></p><p>They have somehow managed to study the world around them and understand things that once seemed impossible.</p><p>And yet...</p><p><br/></p><p>They are also responsible for most of the chaos they complain about.</p><p>Humans create their own problems.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then somehow find someone else to blame for them.</p><p>Think about it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Humans created money.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then decided that money would determine who gets to eat, who gets to live comfortably, who gets opportunities and who doesn't.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then they spend their entire lives chasing the thing they created.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some work themselves to death for it.</p><p>Some steal for it.</p><p>Some kill for it.</p><p>Some even kill themselves because they don't have enough of it.</p><p>Something we invented became something we couldn't live without.</p><p><br/></p><p>Fascinating...</p><p><br/></p><p>Humans created ballistic weapons capable of wiping out entire cities.</p><p>Weapons powerful enough to kill thousands, sometimes millions, in a matter of moments.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then they create more weapons because they are afraid of the weapons someone else created.</p><p><br/></p><p>And when those weapons are used...</p><p>They blame the person holding them.</p><p><br/></p><p>Humans created religion.</p><p>Then divided themselves into groups based on it.</p><p><br/></p><p>They have fought wars.</p><p>Killed people.</p><p>Destroyed communities.</p><p>Hated people they've never met.</p><p><br/></p><p>All in the name of the god they claim teaches them love.</p><p><br/></p><p>And somehow, when the blood dries...</p><p>They blame God.</p><p><br/></p><p>Humans create systems.</p><p>Create ideologies.</p><p>Create borders.</p><p>Create hierarchies.</p><p>Create rules.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then spend generations fighting over the things they created themselves.</p><p><br/></p><p>It's almost fascinating.</p><p>We create something.</p><p>Give it power.</p><p>Become controlled by it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then complain about being controlled.</p><p>And the strangest part?</p><p>Humans are incredibly intelligent.</p><p>They know the consequences of their actions.</p><p><br/></p><p>They know what war does.</p><p>They know what greed does.</p><p>They know what hatred does.</p><p>They know what destroying the environment does.</p><p><br/></p><p>They know what happens when power is placed in the wrong hands.</p><p>Yet they still do it.</p><p>Again.</p><p>And again.</p><p>And again.</p><p>Sometimes I wonder if humans are actually trying to solve their problems...</p><p>Or if they simply enjoy creating new ones.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Humans are the enemy.</p><p>Every problem beneath the earth seems to somehow lead back to them...humans</p><p><br/></p><p>The wars.</p><p>The greed.</p><p>The hatred.</p><p>The inequality.</p><p>The destruction.</p><p>The exploitation.</p><p>The endless hunger for more.</p><p><br/></p><p>And yet, despite everything...</p><p><br/></p><p>Humans still wake up every morning and continue.</p><p>They fall in love.</p><p>They have children.</p><p>They build.</p><p>They destroy.</p><p>They pray.</p><p>They fight.</p><p>They forgive.</p><p>They repeat the same mistakes their ancestors made and call it progress.</p><p><br/></p><p>They create problems and invent solutions.</p><p>Then create new problems from those solutions.</p><p><br/></p><p>It's almost like humanity is trapped inside a cycle of its own making.</p><p><br/></p><p>And perhaps that's the most fascinating thing about Homo sapiens.</p><p><br/></p><p>They are intelligent enough to understand what they're doing...</p><p>but somehow never intelligent enough to stop.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>So I keep wondering.</strong></p><p><strong><br/></strong></p><p><strong>After all the money, power, religion, technology, wars, inventions, discoveries and destruction...</strong></p><p><strong><br/></strong></p><p><strong>What exactly do humans want?</strong></p>

The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.

Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
