I WANT MONEY, AND I'M NOT ASHAMED TO SAY IT.

I want money.There, I said it. And I don't think I should have to feel guilty about it.Sometimes when people talk about money, they make it sound like wanting it automatically means you are greedy or materialistic.But I don't want money just so I can say I have money.I want to be able to afford the things I need without having to panic first.I want to be able to take care of myself.I want to help my family when I can.I want to travel.I want to build businesses.I want to publish my books and not always be worried about how much everything is going to cost.I want to wake up one day and realise that something I started with very little has actually grown into something big.I think there is something beautiful about being able to say, “I want more for myself.”Because sometimes we are taught to be content in a way that makes us afraid to admit that we have bigger dreams.I am grateful for what I have.But being grateful doesn't mean I don't want more.I can appreciate ₦10,000 and still dream about making ₦1 million.I can celebrate my first small business sale and still want to build a company that is much bigger than me.I can be proud of the little progress I have made and still know that I haven't reached where I want to go.And honestly, I don't want to pretend anymore.I want financial freedom.I want to be able to make decisions without money always being the first thing stopping me.I want to create things because I believe in them, not because I am desperately trying to survive.I want to give without giving from an empty place.I want to have enough to help someone and still have something left for myself.Maybe that sounds like a lot.But I don't think wanting a better life makes me ungrateful for the one I have.I think it just means I have dreams.And I'm willing to work for them.So yes, I want money.Not because I think money will solve every problem.I know it won't.But I also know that life is different when you don't have to constantly worry about whether you can afford the next thing.And if you are young and trying to build something with very little right now, I hope you don't feel ashamed of wanting more either.Start where you are.Even if it's small.Even if nobody understands the vision yet.Even if all you have right now is an idea and the courage to keep trying.I want money, I want to build, I want to grow.And I'm not ashamed to say it.
