"My Mother's tongue , My "ÈHÍ", My Home!
<p>My mother, hails from a not so small tribe that have been in existence for over 300 years in the North central part of Nigeria!</p><p>SHE IS CALLED "ÈBIRÀ" OUR "ÈHÌ"(home)</p><p>From the time our ancestors migrated from "WÙKÁRÌ" in (Taraba state) to settle in "ÈBIRÀ ŌPÉTÉ" with the "ÀPÈTÈ" stool to symbolize our authority and originality </p><p><br/></p><p>Do not blame me! For I am about to unapologetically honor my mother's tongue, and my father's land!</p><p>We are "ÀNÈBÍRÀ" people of behavior and morality and also gentility as a compliment. </p><p>OUR SOIL IS BLESSED! </p><p><br/></p><p>From yielding the best " ÈNÙ" (yam) and "ÈCÙKÁ" (cassava) for food production and to having rich mineral deposits.</p><p>We are known for our brilliance, hardwork, prestige and high self-esteem. </p><p>And what have you heard about our "ÈBIRÀ"women?!</p><p>Definitely beauty! </p><p>It's in our blood , it runs deep in our veins our women are indigenous as our mothers has passed a talent through generations. </p><p>The skill of making "ÌTÀ ÌŃÓCHÍ" on "ŌGÙNTŌRŌ" ( wooden traditional dress on a loom) A beautiful embroidery that feeds the soul with ambiance and a feeling of grace, or is it the beautiful bracelet "ÓMÒ" adorning my mother's wrist which was given to her by my grandmother .</p><p>Oh! talking about our sweetly prepared meals, the "ÈPÌ PÀPÀRÀ"( Egusi soup) melon soup garnished with " ÚPÀ" ( soft cow skin) and enough "CHÀKÓRÓ" (local ingredients) dancing in it. </p><p>From our native local dish " ÁPÁPÁ" ( baked beans) to our stunning natural landscape. </p><p>"ÓKÉNÉ" is definitely an Eden for nature lovers from lush vegetation to sensational waterfalls. </p><p>"ÈBÍRÁ ÓNYÀMÍ" (My mother's tongue) my language of identity rich cultural heritage and unity in our diverse culture. </p><p>Like the "ÈBÍRÁ KÓTÓ" of Lokoja.</p><p>The "ÈBÍRÀ ÁGÁTÙ" of Benue state .</p><p>The "ÈBÌRÁ PÁNDÁ, ÈBÌRÁ TŌTŌ" of Nasarawa state .</p><p>The "ÈBÌRÁ JÚKÚ, ÈBÌRÁ ÉTÙNÒ" of Edo state.</p><p><br/></p><p>I will pass into my children and their generations the night tales of bravery, wisdom legends and proverbs! </p><p>My mother "ÓZÍ DÙ" (the child of a noble heart) "ÓZÍ ÁPÁSÍ" (descendant of the ápásí linage) passed unto me! </p><p>"ÀVÈ DÍYÁ SÍ ÈBÍRÁ NÒVÍDÍ"!</p><p>(Let's come together and promote our mothers tongue and culture).</p><p>" ÀVÈ DÌYÁ GÁMÁ ÈKÚRÁYÍ"!</p><p>(Let's come together , praise and expand our culture together).</p><p><br/></p>
