Overthinking.
<p>There is a kind of tiredness that sleep can not fix.</p><p><br/></p><p>It is the tiredness that comes from having too much running in your head.</p><p>The one that keeps you awake at night.</p><p>You remember a conversation from three days ago.</p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">Why did I say that?</em></p><p><em><br/></em></p><p>You remember something that happened.</p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if I had done it differently?</em></p><p><br/></p><p>Then you remember tomorrow.</p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if it doesn't work out?</em></p><p><br/></p><p>Before you know it, you've travelled through the past, present, and future without leaving your bed.</p><p>Your body is completely still, but your mind has run a full marathon.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes, it starts with something small.</p><p><br/></p><p><em>A message without reply.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">A change in someone's tone.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">A decision you have to make.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">A mistake you wish you could undo.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">A conversation that ended differently from how you expected.</em></p><p><br/></p><p>And the mind?</p><p>It doesn't know how to ignore things.</p><p>It will look at things from every angle possible.</p><p><br/></p><p><em>Maybe they meant this.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">Maybe they meant that.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if I misunderstood?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if I didn't?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">Should I have said something?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">Should I have ignored it?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if I fail?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if they leave?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if I disappoint them?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if I make the wrong decision?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if I am not enough?</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">What if something goes right, and I'm still lost?</em></p><p><br/></p><p>The problem might have even ended hours ago, but your mind is still holding on to it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Overthinking can make you take silence for rejection. It makes you question things you were certain about.</p><p><br/></p><p>Overthinking wants to know how things will end before it even starts.</p><p><br/></p><p>But life is not like that.</p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">There will be things we cannot control.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">People will misunderstand us.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">We will misunderstand people.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">Plans will change.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">Some questions will remain unanswered.</em></p><p><em style="background-color: transparent;">Some conversations will remain unfinished.</em></p><p><br/></p><p>Not everything needs to be overthought every time.</p><p>Give yourself peace and stop struggling with the past that you cannot change, and the future that hasn't even arrived yet.</p><p><br/></p><p>Remember, it's not every time that there will be someone to pour water on our heads after it gets overheated.</p>
