<p>When we put off a task until the last minute,we may feel a temporary sense of relief, but ultimately, it leads to stress, anxiety, and a sense of overwhelming</p><p>Putting off a task until the last minute is simply procrastination, as we know or as some of us know, procrastination can have far reaching consequences on our productivity even stretching to our well being,YES, well being which is why last minute task can lead to stress, anxiety and overwhelm us.</p><p>Procrastination is a trap that comes with side effects,in a way or the other we must have missed deadlines or lost opportunities. Trying to get things done at the last minute can cause anxiety that can tamper with our mental and physical health.</p><p>It can generate poor quality work,rushing to complete a task may result in poor quality as well as causing us to fall behind in our work,projects or even studies.</p><p>For me Procrastination is likened to a disease 🪰, to break free from this,I have learnt to:</p><p>Break my task into smaller and manageable steps, this makes it less overwhelming for me. I have set goals and deadlines to help stay motivated and focus. </p><p>Creating a schedule has also helped me a lot to ensure I stay on track. Getting my to do list and calendar schedule has helped me on a regular basis to manage and keep a tab of my goals.</p><p>As someone who has been beaten and battered by procrastination and gradually overcoming it this 2025,breaking free from this cycle has not been easy but implementing strategies to overcome it,is allowing me to be achieving my goals .</p><p>My daily reminder to myself reads: <em><strong>Remember, every small step counts, and starting early can make a significant difference in the quality of our work and our overall well-being.</strong></em></p>
