SHADOW AWAKENING Episode 3: The Army of Destruction The sky turned black as thousands of warriors stepped out of glowing portals. Their leader, Drakon, stood before Kairo with a giant sword resting on his shoulder. Drakon: “Human, kneel before the army of Lord Vex!” Kairo: “Kneel? Bro, I just stood up. Give me a minute.” Drakon’s face twisted with anger. Drakon: “You dare mock me?!” He vanished and appeared behind Kairo, swinging his sword. BOOM! Kairo was sent crashing through three buildings. He slowly stood up, wiping dust from his clothes. Kairo: “Okay… that one was personal.” Drakon attacked again, moving faster than the eye could follow. Kairo blocked several strikes, but each blow pushed him closer to defeat. Suddenly, Drakon grabbed him by the neck and lifted him into the air. Drakon: “Your shadow power is nothing compared to Lord Vex!” Kairo struggled to breathe. His shadow began moving strangely, spreading across the ground like black flames. Then a mysterious voice echoed inside his mind. Mysterious Voice: “Kairo… break the first seal.” Kairo: “First seal? You couldn't have explained this before I started getting beaten?” A massive shadow exploded around him. SHADOW MODE: LEVEL FOUR! Black energy covered Kairo's arms, and glowing symbols appeared across his sword. He broke free from Drakon's grip and landed on the ground. For the first time, Drakon stepped backward. Drakon: “Impossible! What are you?” Kairo grinned. Kairo: “Your worst Monday morning.” He charged forward. KAIRO: “SHADOW KING'S FIST!” His punch struck Drakon's chest, releasing a wave of dark energy that swept across the battlefield. BOOOOOOM! Drakon crashed to the ground, defeated. The enemy army fell silent. But suddenly, the sky split open. A gigantic portal appeared, and a towering figure emerged, wearing black armor with glowing red eyes. LORD VEX: “Impressive, little shadow. But your victory ends here.” Kairo raised his sword. Kairo: “You're Lord Vex? I expected someone taller.” Lord Vex ignored the joke and lifted one hand. A magical screen appeared in the air, showing Kairo's little sister trapped inside a dark crystal cage. Kairo's smile disappeared. LORD VEX: “Come to the Shadow Realm alone, or your sister will remain my prisoner forever.” KAIRO: “If you touch her, I'll destroy your entire kingdom!” Lord Vex laughed and opened a portal beneath Kairo's feet. Before Kairo could move, the portal swallowed him. He fell into a strange world filled with floating islands, black rivers, and monstrous shadows. A voice whispered from the darkness. MYSTERIOUS VOICE: “Welcome home, Kairo. The truth about your bloodline begins here.” Kairo slowly raised his sword. KAIRO: “Home? Bro, this place needs serious renovation.” A pair of enormous red eyes opened behind him. TO BE CONTINUED…
