The Business That Learned to Grow

When David started his small business, he believed that having a good product was all he needed to succeed.

He had created affordable, high-quality products that his customers genuinely liked. At first, sales came mostly from friends, family members, and people in his neighborhood. David was happy, but after a few months, he noticed that his business had stopped growing.

He began asking himself, “If my product is good, why aren't more people buying it?”

That question changed everything.

He started by researching his target market. He learned what his customers needed, what problems they faced, and what made them choose one business over another.

Next, David began networking. He attended business events, spoke with other entrepreneurs, and introduced his company to potential partners. Instead of simply asking people to buy from him, he focused on explaining how his business could solve their problems.

One day, he met a retailer who was looking for a reliable local supplier. David presented his products and proposed a partnership. The retailer agreed to stock them in several stores.

That single partnership brought David hundreds of new customers.

David realized that running a business was not only about creating a good product. He needed to understand his customers, build relationships, find new opportunities, and create partnerships. In other words, he needed to focus on business development.

But David didn't stop there. He improved his customer service, strengthened his online presence, followed up with customers, and looked for new markets. He also built relationships with other businesses that could complement his products.

Within two years, the small business that had once depended mainly on friends and family had become a growing company with several business partners and a small team of employees.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
