💔 THE GIRL EVERYONE HATED EPISODE 5: THE LAW THAT MADE MERCY AN HEIR 😱 💔 THE SECRET BEHIND THE INHERITANCE… "Your mother knows who did it." Daniel's words echoed in Mercy's ears. Mercy stared at him in confusion. "Daniel, what does my mother know? Why is everyone hiding the truth from me?" Before Daniel could answer, his father, Mr. Williams, stepped forward. "Enough! This ends now!" Mercy looked directly at him. "No, sir! I'm tired of being treated like I don't deserve the truth. Why does your family want me out of the way?" Mr. Williams remained silent. Daniel finally spoke. "Mercy, there's something you need to understand about the Williams family. Generations ago, our ancestors established a law that has governed our inheritance for years." "What law?" Mercy asked. Daniel took a deep breath. "In the Williams family, the first child inherits the father's property and takes responsibility for the family legacy. It doesn't matter whether the child is a boy or a girl." Mercy's eyes widened. "But what does that have to do with me?" Daniel looked at his father before continuing. "Your father, Richard, is the rightful heir to the Williams fortune. And you are his first and only child. According to our family's inheritance law, if Richard is no longer able to inherit, his inheritance passes to you." Mercy stood speechless. "So that's why everyone wants to hide me?" "Exactly," Daniel replied. "If the family acknowledges you as Richard's daughter, you could inherit the company and properties that my father has been trying to control." Mr. Williams slammed his hand against the wall. "That's enough, Daniel! You have no right to discuss family matters!" But Daniel refused to stop. "You've lied for seventeen years just to protect your position. You allowed Mercy to grow up without knowing her father, all because you wanted the inheritance for yourself!" Mercy turned towards Mr. Williams, tears filling her eyes. "All these years, my mother and I struggled while your family lived in wealth. And you knew who I was?" Mr. Williams looked away. Suddenly, Vanessa entered the mansion. "There's no need to argue," she said coldly. "Even if Mercy is Richard's daughter, she will never inherit anything." Everyone turned towards her. Daniel frowned. "What are you talking about, Vanessa?" She smiled and pulled a folded document from her handbag. "Because there's something Mercy doesn't know about her father's inheritance." She handed the document to Mercy. Mercy's hands trembled as she opened it. At the top was a statement declaring that Richard Williams had supposedly given up his inheritance seventeen years ago. Mercy looked at Daniel. "Is this real?" Daniel examined the document and shook his head. "No. My father would do anything to keep that inheritance. We need to find out who signed this." Vanessa laughed. "Go ahead and investigate. But be careful, Daniel. Some truths can destroy the people you love." She turned to leave. Suddenly, Margaret rushed into the mansion. "Mercy! I've finally found the woman who returned you to Elizabeth seventeen years ago!" Mercy's heart raced. "Where is she?" Margaret swallowed hard. "She's here. And she has something important to tell you." A woman stepped out from behind the doorway. Mercy stared at her face. It was the same woman she had seen in an old photograph at Elizabeth's house. The woman looked at Mercy with tears in her eyes. "Mercy, I'm sorry. I should have told you the truth a long time ago." Mercy stepped forward. "Who are you? And why did you take me away from my mother?" The woman lowered her head. "Because the night you were born, I overheard Mr. Williams planning something terrible." "What did you hear?" Daniel asked. The woman looked directly at Mr. Williams. "He wasn't just trying to steal Richard's inheritance. He wanted Mercy to disappear forever." Everyone gasped. Mr. Williams took a step backwards. "That's a lie!" The woman shook her head. "No, sir. And I have proof." She reached into her handbag and brought out a small envelope. Before she could open it, the mansion doors suddenly slammed shut. A mysterious voice came from the darkness. "Nobody is leaving this room until that envelope is destroyed!" Mercy grabbed Daniel's hand. Someone was desperate to keep the truth hidden. But who? And what was inside the envelope that could destroy the Williams family forever? 💔 TO BE CONTINUED💔💔 END OF EPISODE 5 💔
