The girl in the mirror

The girl in the Mirror

“Everybody is bound to their thoughts and their preferences, that doesn’t mean you should change yourself to fix their narrative”, she said, “I’m not changing myself to fix the narrative and I know it, I just want everyone around me to be happy and feel seen”, Sonia replied. “Indeed, you’re not changing yourself, while trying to carry everyone along and trying to see them, please who’s seeing you in those periods?, you care so much about everyone around you, so much that you neglect the most important person YOU,” she replied.

Sonia couldn’t give a response, she felt attacked and misunderstood, all she ever did was care about everyone around her or did she do it wrong?, she asked. After few minutes of questioning, she realized the girl in the mirror was actually right, no one checks up on her or care about her opinion. As long as she’s able to give, they stick around, once she has nothing for them to benefit from they vanish like dust into the wind.

“James said he loves submissive, open-minded and caring girl, he didn’t ask for a dummy. Why did I decide to fit myself into the box that wasn’t mine?”, Sonia asked. “Maybe you’re trying to fill a void in you but you unknowingly made yourself a puppet for them to play with. Pick yourself up and be better, you can be caring and still be yourself, you don’t have to impress anyone but yourself”, the girl in the mirror replied.
