The little corner in my heart
<p>Hi guys. I haven't posted anything for a while now.</p><p><br/></p><p>I'd like to say it's because I was busy, and yes, I was busy, but it wasn't that.</p><p><br/></p><p>I've loved literature for as long as I can remember. I've basked in its beauty and embraced it as a habit. I took it as part of my life.</p><p><br/></p><p>So why have I neglected this aspect of my life?</p><p><br/></p><p>Perhaps because of my life as a medical student, plagued and burdened with the curse that comes from being one. Perhaps I began to outgrow it, but surely, that isn't true. I love literature. I love writing and reading. I love sharing unspeakable emotions and feelings through writing.</p><p><br/></p><p>So I ask again, why then have I neglected it?</p><p><br/></p><p>Perhaps it's because, as I grow, I begin to change my likes and habits. I begin to have other things occupying my time, my mind, my energy... my heart?</p><p><br/></p><p>No. Surely not.</p><p><br/></p><p>I have been shaped by literature, so why have I forsaken it?</p><p><br/></p><p>Honestly, I don't know.</p><p><br/></p><p>I don't think I ever really forgot about it. It just slowly settled into a corner of my heart, waiting for the time when I would call it out.</p><p><br/></p><p>And that's just how it is. Life does this thing where, at times, it tries to strip away your source of joy, especially with all its ups and downs that tend to drag one through turmoil.</p><p><br/></p><p>So no, I never forgot.</p><p><br/></p><p>I could never forget.</p><p><br/></p><p>And that's why, on an unlikely day such as this, I call out my inner pen and write my heart out to you, my readers, whoever you may be, if ever you may be.</p><p><br/></p><p>Perhaps this is my way of coming back.</p>
