๐Ÿ“– THE MESSAGE FROM MY DEAD MOTHER ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜ฑ

EPISODE 4: THE TWIN SISTER WHO WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO EXIST

"She's alive."

Those two words kept ringing in my ears.

My twin sister was alive.

For eighteen years, I had believed I was an only child. I had celebrated my birthdays alone, cried alone, and grown up wondering why my mother sometimes looked at me with sadness in her eyes.

And now, I was standing between two men who knew the truth about my life.

"Where is she?" I demanded, looking directly at Daniel.

He opened his mouth to speak, but Michael suddenly shouted from the staircase.

"Don't you dare tell her anything!"

I turned towards the man who had raised me.

His shirt was stained with blood, and he was still holding the knife.

"Daddy, please," I whispered. "I just want the truth."

For a moment, his eyes softened.

Then he looked at Daniel with hatred.

"That man is the reason your mother died."

Daniel shook his head.

"Don't listen to him, Sarah. He's lying."

"Then tell me what happened!" I screamed.

Neither man spoke.

I wiped my tears and stepped towards Daniel.

"You said my sister is alive. Where is she?"

Daniel lowered his head.

"Her name is Sophia."

Sophia.

I repeated the name silently.

It felt strange, like remembering a dream I had never experienced.

"Where is she?"

Daniel looked at Michael before answering.

"She's been living with another family since the night you were born."

My heart shattered.

"Someone took my sister away from my mother?"

Daniel nodded slowly.

"Your mother gave birth to both of you. But that night, there was a terrible argument at the hospital. By morning, Sophia was gone."

I stared at him in disbelief.

"And you did nothing?"

Pain crossed his face.

"I searched for her. I searched for both of you. But Michael told me your mother had died and that you had been taken away."

I turned towards Michael.

"Is that true?"

He tightened his grip on the knife.

"Sarah, you don't understand what happened that night."

"THEN MAKE ME UNDERSTAND!"

My voice echoed through the living room.

For several seconds, nobody moved.

Then Michael slowly lowered the knife.

"I wanted to protect you," he whispered.

"Protect me from what?"

He looked at Daniel.

"From the truth about your mother."

Suddenly, my phone vibrated.

I almost dropped it.

Another message had arrived from my mother's number.

I opened it with trembling fingers.

"Sarah, if Daniel has told you about Sophia, you must find her before your nineteenth birthday."

I frowned.

My nineteenth birthday was only three weeks away.

Another message appeared.

"Your sister has something that belongs to you. Without it, you will never discover who killed me."

My knees nearly gave way.

Who killed her?

I had always believed my mother died from an illness.

I slowly raised my head.

"Michael, how did my mother really die?"

His face turned pale.

Daniel stepped forward.

"Sarah, we need to leave. Right now."

"Why?"

Before he could answer, a loud crash came from outside.

Someone had smashed the living room window.

Daniel immediately grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him.

A stone lay on the floor, wrapped in a piece of paper.

With shaking hands, I picked it up.

Five words were written across it in red ink.

STOP SEARCHING FOR YOUR SISTER.

I looked towards the window.

A black car was parked across the street.

Someone was sitting inside, watching our house.

Then the car sped away.

Daniel rushed towards the door.

"Stay here!" he ordered.

But I wasn't listening anymore.

My phone vibrated again.

This time, the message was different.

It wasn't from my mother's number.

It came from an unknown number.

"Hello, Sarah. I've waited eighteen years to speak to you."

I stared at the screen.

Another message followed.

"My name is Sophia. I'm your twin sister."

Tears filled my eyes.

I quickly typed a reply.

"How do I know you're telling the truth?"

Her response came immediately.

"Because I have the other half of the necklace Mummy gave us before we were separated."

I touched the small gold necklace I had worn since childhood.

My mother had told me it was a gift from my grandmother.

Sophia sent me a photograph.

It showed a young woman who looked exactly like me.

Same eyes.

Same nose.

Same lips.

It was like looking into a mirror.

But what frightened me most was the necklace around her neck.

It was identical to mine.

Then Sophia sent one final message.

"Sarah, I need you to listen carefully. Michael isn't the only person who lied to you."

I swallowed hard.

"What do you mean?"

Her reply made my entire body go cold.

"OUR MOTHER DIDN'T DIE EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO."

I stopped breathing.

That was impossible.

I had attended my mother's funeral.

I had watched them lower her coffin into the ground.

I had cried until I could barely see.

How could she still be alive?

Before I could respond, Sophia sent another message.

"The woman buried in that grave wasn't our mother."

I dropped my phone.

At that exact moment, Daniel returned to the living room.

He looked at my face.

"Sarah, what's wrong?"

I slowly turned towards him.

"Daniel, where is my mother buried?"

His expression changed.

For the first time since he had entered our house, he looked genuinely terrified.

Then he whispered five words that made me wish I had never asked.

"Sarah, your mother is alive."

And from the staircase, Michael began to laugh.

"Now you understand," he said.

"But if you find her, you'll discover why I had to take one of you away."

I turned towards him.

"Take one of us away from where?"

He smiled bitterly.

"Because one of you was never supposed to be born."

TO BE CONTINUEDโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

๐Ÿ“– EPISODE 5: THE WOMAN WHO CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD
