YOU ARE STILL BECOMING 🦋
<p><br/></p><p>Some months ago, I was listening to a short video clip, and the speaker talked about a particular verse of the Bible:</p><p><br/></p><p>“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11</p><p><br/></p><p>He used a butterfly as an example, and that illustration stayed with me.</p><p>When we see a butterfly, we see something beautiful. Its colours, its wings, the way it flies… it is almost impossible not to admire it.</p><p>But nobody looks at a butterfly and thinks about what it had to go through to become what it is.</p><p><br/></p><p>Before the butterfly becomes beautiful, it passes through stages.</p><p><br/></p><p>First, there is the egg, small and almost unnoticed.</p><p>Then comes the caterpillar. It crawls instead of flies. It doesn't look anything like the beautiful butterfly we admire. Yet, it is still part of the process.</p><p>Then comes the chrysalis (pupa). A season of stillness. A season where nothing seems to be happening from the outside.</p><p>But inside that seemingly quiet place, a transformation is taking place.</p><p><br/></p><p>And finally, it emerges as a butterfly.</p><p>Beautiful. </p><p>Free.</p><p>Transformed.</p><p>The butterfly did not skip a stage to become beautiful.</p><p>And perhaps, this is something we need to remember about our own lives.</p><p><br/></p><p>When the Bible says, “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time,” it reminds us that there is a process attached to becoming.</p><p>There are seasons of learning.</p><p>Seasons of stretching.</p><p>Seasons of waiting.</p><p>Seasons of pruning.</p><p>Seasons when you may feel hidden.</p><p>And seasons when you may not even recognize yourself.</p><p>But not every season is meant to look beautiful. Some seasons are preparing you for the beauty that is coming.</p><p><br/></p><p>So, don't be in a hurry to become everything at once.</p><p>Don't rush the process just because you admire someone else's finished product.</p><p>Don't despise your caterpillar season because you are looking at someone else's butterfly season.</p><p><br/></p><p>You are not behind. You are becoming. 🦋</p><p>Give yourself permission to grow.</p><p>Give yourself grace to learn.</p><p>Give yourself time to heal, mature, and become.</p><p>And most importantly, trust the One who knows what you are becoming.</p><p>You may not look like the butterfly yet, but keep becoming.
