This has been the theme song for a week on the internet. American rapper, PnB Rock was killed shortly after his girlfriend posted a picture with their location when they were out for waffles and chicken. He was robbed for his jewelry but was shot in the process and the internet has been on a frenzy, asking why the girlfriend posted a picture with their location.

It begs the question, do we really think nobody else in that joint could've probably informed someone that, "Hey. Guess who's here? PnB". It could even be staff members but the bandwagon blaming the girlfriend is just absurd. A lot of us get carried away ehen we see celebrities around us; come on, we see famous people smashing phones and avoiding the "paparazzi". Could that be the reason he was tracked? Nobody knows. Even detectives say the hit must have been a planned attack but the message in this should not be amiss. More details of the investigation are withheld by the police but a statement by the chief detective revealed that this isn't the first time artistes get killed based on location sharing.

RIP to Pop Smoke who suffered the same fate a couple of years back when he accidentally posted his home address, when showing a delivery on Instagram. The media went crazy for a short while and went back to the ignorance we live in. The need for security and safety is at an all time high, not just for the A-listers but regular folks as well. I may not be Wizkid or Rema but I think we can take a page from events happening to people around the world.

Personally, if I ever post my location, there is a fat chance that I've been out of there at least an hour ago 😅. A lot of people can attest to the need for societty to be more cautious and warmer if their environment. If politicians can get their convoys attacked and celebrities ambushed at the mall then we need to up our gear. How much careful can we be? Only one way to find out. Play your part and keep your fingers crossed. May the souls of the departed RIP.
