YOU vs YOU

A Letter From the Part of You That’s Tired of Watching You Lie to Yourself

There are two of you.

One that talks.

And one that remembers everything you said and never did.

Let’s talk about them. The quiet one. The one who’s been watching.

Because here’s what no one tells you:

You are not in competition with the world. You are in competition with your own capacity for self-destruction.

No stage. No enemy. No cheering.

Just you.

And the version of you who knows better but doesn’t do better.

The version of you that could have gone for it.

But flinched.

That could have left, but stayed.

That could have become, but chose instead to stay under construction, forever.

That version of you is clever.

They wear procrastination like velvet.

They whisper you back into comfort with seductive little lies:

> “We’re just waiting for the right time.”

“We’re not ready yet.”

“It’s safer here.”

“Let’s not risk losing what we already have.”

They sound like wisdom.

But they’re just fear dressed in your own voice.

And the truth is, you’ve gotten good at lying to yourself.

Spectacular, even.

You tell yourself you're healing, but really you're hiding.

You call it boundaries, but it’s avoidance.

You name it self-love, but it’s self-preservation dressed up in affirmations and bath bombs.

Let’s be brutal:

You’re not stuck. You’re scared.

Scared of what it would mean to actually win.

Because then you lose the right to keep calling yourself potential.

Then the safety net of “someday” disappears.

And that’s the catch, isn’t it?

It’s not failure you fear—

It’s success.

Because once you succeed, you can’t hide behind excuses.

You can’t pretend anymore.

You’d have to actually become what you say you are.

So you sabotage.

Quietly. Elegantly. Subconsciously.

You scroll instead of study.

You date instead of heal.

You gossip instead of grow.

You keep rearranging your life like it’s furniture, hoping one day it’ll finally feel like a home.

But it won’t.

Not until you face the only person who’s been holding the knife.

Not until you admit: It’s always been you.

The missed chances.

The conversations you didn’t have.

The talent you left untouched.

The hard choices you left on snooze.

All of it—you.

So what now?

Here’s what:

Forgive yourself.

Not in the soft, poetic way.

Forgive yourself violently.

Forgive yourself by becoming the person you were afraid to be.

Forgive yourself by doing the thing that scares you to death.

Stop making promises.

Start making proof.

Stop posting about growth.

Grow.

Stop collecting dreams like trinkets.

Pick one and make it real.

Make it ugly. Make it messy. But make it yours.

Because at the end of this life, it won’t matter how many people followed you.

What will matter is:

Did you ever stop running from yourself long enough to meet the version of you that didn’t flinch?

You vs You.

There’s no crowd here.

No claps.

No trophies.

Just the mirror.

And whether or not you can look into it, and say:

> “I didn’t win every day. But I stopped running. And I fought.

No one is watching...

But It still matters!

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
