The Family Stranger Syndrome
<p>There is a weird thing in Nigerian homes where family stops asking you questions because they swear they already know you.</p>
<p>You can outgrow your old ways and build a whole new life outside, yet the moment you step through the gate, they still judge you by one mistake you made in SS2.</p>
<p>Before you know it, you are living a double life.</p>
<p>Outside, you are the outspoken leader or the life of the party, but at home, you just go mute and nod along because explaining who you are now feels like talking to a brick wall.</p>
