The Hostel Survivor League
The Hostel Survivor League
The Hostel Survivor League
Let’s be real. Moving into a university hostel or off-campus lodge is supposed to be your official entry into freedom.

But the very first week drops a heavy reality check on you: you are now trapped in a tiny room with someone whose lifestyle is a direct assault on your peace of mind.

We have all lived through the classic hostel horrors. There is the roommate who treats the communal kitchen sink like an archaeological dig site, leaving plates to breed new civilizations.
There is the one who plays secular music or TikTok videos at full blast by 3:00 AM while you are trying to cram for an 8:00 AM exam.

And let's not forget the serial borrower who helps themselves to your provisions, or the person who turns your shared room into a permanent hotel for their partner without blinking.

You are stressed, broke, trying to pass exams, and now you have to manage another grown person's domestic stubbornness just to sleep in peace.

(And then, of course, there are those rare, blessed souls who somehow managed to get single rooms, or whose roommates were actual angels, we see you, and we are heavily green-eyed with jealousy!)

Where do you draw the line? Are these wild hostel survival stories just a funny character-building phase we all laugh about later, or is living alone by any means necessary the ultimate survival goal?
