<p>If you could say 2 things to the freshman version of yourself that's just getting into Babcock 4 years ago, what will they be?</p>
<p>Hmm. This isn't an easy question to answer, mostly because I have more than two things to say to that young, too naive version of myself. If I could pick two out of those things, they'd be:</p><p>A. You need to learn how to stand up for yourself:</p><p> The beginning of my undergraduate journey was very tough. I had roommates who just didn't like me, and omo, they really showed it. There were micro aggressions throughout my stay in that room. I felt excluded and occasionally bullied. If I had stood up for myself, I might have been able to find some peace of mind tbh.</p><p>B. You need to spend time with your people: </p><p>I had such wonderful friends in my first year, but I can be very introverted, and before I could blink, some of them were in new cliques, others had travelled to other countries, and one passed away. I wish I had gone outside my room, taken more walks with them, and just enjoyed life with my people.</p>
