<p>I think self-respect becomes pride when protecting your dignity or boundaries stops being about what someone did and starts being about proving that you can never be the one to bend.</p><p>Sometimes walking away is necessary, but sometimes being willing to communicate, forgive, or apologize isn’t weakness either.</p><p>Pride comes in when it shifts from protecting yourself to protecting your ego.</p>
